Key Responsibilities

  • Perform various analyses and discuss related technical issues while complying with SOPs, GMPs, and pharmacopoeias relevant to your work;
  • Knowledge of USP
  • Comply with laboratory safety and hygiene rules;
  • Document the analyses performed in the appropriate registers in accordance with good documentation practices;
  • Interpret the results of analyses and raw data related to the analyses performed and enter them into the laboratory management system;
  • Document and notify your supervisor of any abnormal results, deviations, incidents that have occurred in the laboratory, and any equipment malfunctions;
  • Perform daily checks of laboratory equipment;
  • Monitor the laboratory environment and ensure that equipment and other necessities are in good condition;
  • Collaborate in the training of new analysts, if applicable;
  • Respect the priorities assigned by supervisors;
  • Keep all documentation relevant to your activities up to date;
  • Organize your work in order to optimize time and equipment;
  • Actively participate in all required analytical investigations;
  • Perform any other related tasks assigned by the immediate supervisor or as required.

Profile Sought

  • Diploma in chemistry, biochemistry, or equivalent;
  • Experience with SAA (Solid-Phase Atomic Absorption) analysis.
  • 2to 3 years of experience in a similar position (an asset);
  • Knowledge of pharmacopoeias (USP, Ph. Eur);
  • Experience working in a regulated environment (GMP) (an asset);
  • Laboratory experience (an asset);
  • Good team spirit;
  • Planning and organizational skills;
  • Good analytical and scientific judgment (critical thinking);
  • Meticulousness;
  • Sense of responsibility and autonomy;
  • Ability to work under pressure;.
  • French(spoken, read, written);English(read and written)
